The pleasantly fragrant oil used in food and cosmetics is obtained in Hawaii and Australia by cold pressing the nuts of the Macadamia integrifolia tree.
It contains more than 20% palmitooleic acid, which is an excellent protection pred
sun and oxidative processes. Omega 3 and omega 6 acids, however, are important
for proper skin moisture.
The oil is quickly absorbed into the skin, prevents it from drying out and gives a pleasant, silky soft feeling.
